Tyler J. Wagg, B.A., J.D. - Lawyer
Born and raised in Muskoka, Tyler was told from a young age that he was going to be a Lawyer, despite being the first in his family. It wasn’t until his grade 10 Intro to Law class that Tyler finally believed his parents.
Tyler attended the University of Western Ontario in 2005 and graduated with honors in 2009 with a double major in sociology and criminology. He was accepted into Western’s Law program immediately out of his undergrad and obtained his Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 2012.
Tyler completed his articles with Robert J. Nagel of Whitford & Nagel Associates and, after his call to the Bar in June 2013, returned to work with Robert as a licensed solicitor. He then moved to this firm in 2017, taking over all Real Estate Law and Corporate Law files.
Tyler acquired ownership of the firm in September of 2025, subsequently renaming the firm to Tyler J. Wagg Professional Corporation, where he continues to operate a general solicitor's practice, assisting his clients in the areas of Real Estate Law, Corporate Law, and Wills and Estates.
Tyler is also a co-operating lawyer with UNIFOR (formerly CAW) and has been assisting GM and CAW employees with their legal needs since 2013.
Having adopted the City of Kawartha Lakes as his family’s new home, Tyler has achieved his lifelong goal of being a small-town Lawyer who works for the best interest of his clients.
James Gillespie - Law Clerk
James was born and raised in the Niagara Region and now calls the Kawarthas home. After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University in Toronto, he relocated to Peterborough to complete his Law Clerk Diploma at Fleming College.
James joined the firm during completion of his studies in 2018 as a placement student and was hired on immediately following his placement.
James assists Tyler on his Real Estate and Corporate files.
Desiree Lodge - Law Clerk
Born in a small town outside of Montreal, Quebec, and raised in North York, Desiree, with her love of nature and small-town country, moved herself and her then five-year-old son to Lindsay in 2001 to begin a new life.
About a year after their move, Desiree and her new partner opened up their own Distributing business in the City of Kawartha Lakes which ran successfully for 20 years before closing the doors.
Desiree began her next journey in the summer of 2019 when she joined our firm and began assisting Tyler with his Wills and Estates Files.
