Our Story

Our firm was established in 2008 when Robert J. Nagel acquired the practice of John D. Walden, a longstanding and well-known solicitor in the City of Kawartha Lakes, and was known at that point as 

Robert J. Nagel Professional Corporation.

John continued on at the firm as Counsel until his retirement in December of 2017.

Tyler J. Wagg completed his articles with Robert as part of Whitford & Nagel Associates and, after his call to the Bar in June 2013, returned to work with Robert as a licensed solicitor. 

Tyler joined the firm in the spring of 2017 and took over management of all Real Estate files in the firm, while John continued to assist our clients with their Wills, Estates, and Corporate files until his retirement.

John's daughter, Rosemary T. Walden, joined the firm in January of 2018 to assist with John's ongoing Wills, Estates, and Corporate files. Rosemary retired from the firm in March of 2019.

Tyler acquired ownership of the firm in September of 2025, subsequently renaming the firm to

Tyler J. Wagg Professional Corporation.
